Candy Red Sled

Darrell Marcum's "Candy Red Sled" is shiny, like candy, and its just what he specified when he had his Big Bear Choppers kit built and delivered from Greg's Custom Cycles. With a 96 cubic inch S&S motor, the Candy Red Sled has no problem keeping up with the Joneses. A Super G carburetor naturally aspirates the Big-Twin motor with plenty of mix for light to light blasts or leisurely cruising down the highway.

A 2005 Baker right side drive six-speed transmission mated to a Belt Drives Limited primary sends the power rearward. (and dependably, I might add.) The Big Bear Choppers Frame included in the kit has 44 degrees of neck rake, pretty standard for Big Bear Pro-Street styling.

Up front, the suspension and steering is accomplished by an American Suspension B-17 inverted hydraulic fork-sliders on top, tubes on the bottom. Front and rear wheels are from BBC PAB; the tires are Avon Venoms. A 21" wheel/tire assembly rolls up front, folloowed by an 18 X 10.5" wheel on the rear.
